Knowing why we do things is more complicated than most people realize. Why you choose an omelette over a pancake seems mundane. But it's in the details of everyday human choice and actions that we realize what we value. It's also how we realize why other people may be motivated to take actions most would never consider.
A curiosity about the psychology of Information Security, coupled with an interest in the power of technology to fight evil, that has fueled my journey. It has required developing a philosophy of setting realistic expectations, as I know I cannot know everything or always get it right. Neither will anyone else.
In fact, I'll get it wrong a lot. And it is the turning of those moments into exponential modifiers in my personal growth that has allowed me to succeed.
I am a Christian. Broken and deeply flawed, I am fully reliant upon the work of God in my life to redeem me. I believe the Bible is the inerrant, first and final authority for life and pleasing God.
I am also a husband to an incredible wife and a father of four terrific kids, all of us doing our thing together in Idaho. The support of my family throughout the years has amazed, inspired, and strengthened me through so many long days and nights. None of it would have been possible, or would have mattered, without their love.
